October 16th, 1981

At first glance I thought this was another shit week of music but the longer I looked the more I realised I liked a lot of it–again, viewing through the rose-coloured glasses of time and nostalgia. Obviously, as usual there are some real stinkers but also a lot of great tracks, and a couple of bona fide classics (looking at you, Ghost Town).

And then, of course, there was this monstrosity sitting at number 5. I have absolutely no recollection of this track, or the artist responsible, and it is a terrible, terrible song but it features the bagpipes, so…:)
