Well, this week is pretty good. The usual mix of risible crap and sparkling gems but with some real classics. Highlights being Depeche Mode’s debut single, plus classics from Kraftwerk, The Stranglers, The Jam, Vangelis, Godley & Creme, Jon & Vangelis, and Madness, amongst others. Lowlights being Bernie Higgins, Cliff Richard, and Shakin’ Stevens.

Christ this is a painful one. Sure, you have some absolute classics from the likes of Johnny Warman, Pete Shelley, The Police, The Cars, and Laurie Anderson but then you have Barry Manilow, and Bucks Fizz in the fucking top 10.
42 years ago to the day; it was certainly a very different time.
