Because we can always do with a bit of techno in our lives…

This is a tricky one for me because while I 100% support Ukraine and its fight against the invading Russian terrorists, there are elements of that country that are very problematic. One of those things is its refusal to recognise the existence, and the rights, of their LGBTQi citizens—many of whom are probably on the front lines defending against and repelling the walking-shitstains attacking them. The proceeds of the sale of this album are supposed to go to help those folks, so even though it has been about 4 years since its release I hope this is still the case.

Fatboy Slim…

I was today years old when I found out that “Fatboy Slim” used to be a member of the Housemartins:o

Great little doco about the man.

Jezebellearic Beats Volume 1

This was another “name your price” release by someone I didn’t know but it sounds great so was definitely worth the money.

Kubusschnitt

As a fan of 70s and very early 80s Tangerine Dream, I was totally stoked when I stumbled across this band on Bandcamp. These blokes were producing the TD music I loved but which TD stopped creating decades ago. This is the third album of theirs that I’ve bought, and I’ll post the other two another day.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark

Another late 70s early 80s band that embraced the synthesizer and forged an entirely new style of music. And like the best of their contemporaries, they embraced the “synthpop” label, while retaining the delight at what could be achieved when experimenting with the instruments at their disposal.
