Baffo motherfucking Banfi in da house!

Uh, yeah. So, no offence to Matteo but I only bought this because Baffo Banfi is involved. About 40 years ago I won a copy of the Baffo Banfi album, “Ma, Dolce Vita” from the original 5MMM—now Three D Radio 93.7FM—in Adelaide but I lost it the same time I lost the Cybotron album:(so haven’t heard it in years. I did find a crappy MP3 version of the album but I’d love to get a lossless copy or a CD of it. Anyway, new music involving Baffo is the next best thing.

Activate the wayback machine…

Way back in Jan ‘24 I used this album as a palate cleanser after a godawful song sullied the good name of all bagpipers around the world.

I finally got around to buying it.:D

The incomparable…or incomphrehensible…Philip Glass. I love his work but then I’m a lunatic.

A rare early live recording of a well-known symphony by Glass. Also includes an interview but I’ll probably never know what he says cos French.:(

How listening habits change…

Christ I hated this stuff as a kid. The ‘rents loved it and would listen to it all the time on the weekends but it drove me bonkers. Now, not so much. It doesn’t make me nostalgic for childhood and it doesn’t quite fire up the blood the way bagpipes and small pipes do but it does still stir the Scottish blood in my veins.

Said I was getting it Bandcamp Friday…weeeell…

This a really fantastic album. I’ve been streaming this lossy version, so am looking forward to hearing the cleaner, lossless version of the songs.
