“Newcastle Jets forward Lachlan Rose will join former A-League star Zac Sapsford at Scottish Premiership club Dundee United Football Club next season.
Reports out of Scotland suggest Rose’s two-year deal with the Tangerines will be confirmed next week.
Rose, 26, has been a key factor in Newcastle’s rise to the top of the A-League ladder this season, having scored eight goals.
Ex-Wanderers attacker and Socceroos hopeful Sapsford joined Dundee United last season.
And Rose isn’t the only current A-League star moving to the Tangerines at the end of this season, with Auckland FC attacker Jesse Randall also heading there.
Rose and Randall will go head-to-head at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday when the Jets host Auckland in a top-of-the table battle.
Dundee United Football Club boss Jim Goodwin, whose squad also includes former Adelaide United right-back Ryan Strain and Australian goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer, was reluctant to confirm Rose’s move.”
