The ARP 2600: The Story of a Legendary Synthesizer

Synth Britannia

One of the greatest music documentaries of all time. Highly recommended for anyone with even just a passing interest in the synthpop music of the 80s. Interviews with members of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Kraftwerk, The Human League, New Order/Joy Division, Cabaret Voltaire, Depeche Mode, and many others. A joy to watch and hear.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

This legendary Melbourne band have made their entire catalogue “name your price”. Don’t be a stingey cunt, though; at least 5 bucks an album is fair.
But maybe wait until December 5th for the next Bandcamp Friday so they get more of your cash.

King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard

Laugh Clown Laugh

If you’ve never heard this early 80s synthpop before then that’s understandable because all but one track on this album is previously unreleased. And that is a real shame because this is good shit. Read more about it at Bandcamp.

Thankfully, the internet has breathed new life into so much obscure music and it’s a beautiful thing.
