October 16th, 1981
At first glance I thought this was another shit week of music but the longer I looked the more I realised I liked a lot of it–again, viewing through the rose-coloured glasses of time and nostalgia. Obviously, as usual there are some real stinkers but also a lot of great tracks, and a couple of bona fide classics (looking at you, Ghost Town).

Music Charts #1…
May 23rd, 1980
Although FM had reached SA a year or two earlier, the AM station, 5AD was still dominating the airwaves. Some choice songs on this weeks chart but also a couple of real stinkers, with Skinny Girls by Alan O’Day being the standout in this category; holy crap did some people have questionable taste! If you’re really curious, I checked and a few folks have upped it on YouTube.
As far as the album chart goes they’re isn’t really a dud on there; of course, I say this now with nostalgic hindsight for my youth but back then I thought most of them were fucking shite!

First past the post…
Flatpress. Not included with this hosting services’ Cpanel but to get it running all you have to do is copy the files to your server, and… that’s it. No need to fuck about with MySQL or any of that shit because it isn’t used; which is lucky since I’ve forgotten 99% of it, and can’t be arsed re-learning it all. So let’s see what happens with this attempt.
