How listening habits change…
Christ I hated this stuff as a kid. The ‘rents loved it and would listen to it all the time on the weekends but it drove me bonkers. Now, not so much. It doesn’t make me nostalgic for childhood and it doesn’t quite fire up the blood the way bagpipes and small pipes do but it does still stir the Scottish blood in my veins.
Said I was getting it Bandcamp Friday…weeeell…
This a really fantastic album. I’ve been streaming this lossy version, so am looking forward to hearing the cleaner, lossless version of the songs.

The next Bandcamp Friday is a week from today - so Feb 6, 2026 - so may have to purchase their most recent release.

Ironhead vs Iron Head
So, I went looking on Bandcamp for a Polish (I think) band called Iron Head but they’ve chosen not to earn any money. However, I did find Ironhead, a US band that now seems sadly defunct–if their dead website and gone Facebook account is anything to go by. So now I have this in my wishlist ready for the next Bandcamp Friday.
They aren’t “female-fronted” but the bass player is a woman, and that’s enough to get them the Goddess of Metal tag. Not sure if it’s the vocalist/guitarists wife, or sister but that don’t matter.
