When people say they love all music, that’s usually bullshit and the moment you mention metal they screw up their face and say ewww. Or Country, or pop, or techno, or some traditional world music from Africa or South America. But for me, I won’t say I love all music because I’m sure there is some type of music out there that I won’t like—but I’m not sure I’ve heard it yet.

So anyway, ever since I watched the classic 1980s noir, The Big Easy, I’ve been a fan of cajun food, but especially cajun/creole/zydeco music! I’ve managed to pick up a few examples over the years but not enough to keep me happy…until now.

So just a smaller purchase this time around. And decidely different to what’s come before.

Though, to begin with it seems similar…

I’m not overly familiar with Sherinian’s work and mostly know him from the Sons of Apollo supergroup with Bumblefoot and Mike Portnoy. I stumbled upon this solo release, liked what I heard and gave the man some money.

This was another “name your price” release by someone I didn’t know but it sounds great so was definitely worth the money.

As a fan of 70s and very early 80s Tangerine Dream, I was totally stoked when I stumbled across this band on Bandcamp. These blokes were producing the TD music I loved but which TD stopped creating decades ago. This is the third album of theirs that I’ve bought, and I’ll post the other two another day.
